24th, 2004 - PacketVideo Network Solutions, Inc., an Alcatel
Company, demonstrate more than ten live mobile audio
and video demonstrations at CTIA in Altanta. This
shows the wide breadth of real business opportunities
that are enabled by PacketVideo Network Solutions, Inc.
and the maturity of the company's 3GPP compliant technology
which has been commercially launched by over 20 operators
and mobile media customers worldwide. The CTIA demonstrations
include:
Alcatel
Alcatel and PacketVideo Network Solutions, Inc. are showing
converged fixed and wireless applications including
video email sent from the desktop, converted to MMS,
and sent to the mobile handset. Alcatel is also showing
a complete live streaming product line with analog
and 3GPP-compliant cameras streaming to four different
mobile phones from Nokia, Siemens and SonyEriccson.
B!Vitaminic
BuongiornoVitaminic is to demonstrate the one of the
first applications for enjoying streaming music on
mobile phones. By downloading the free JukeBox application
to handsets and subscribing to the service, a selection
of audio tracks and video clips are instantly available
to the consumer. The B!V JukeBox application uses
pvServer technology to deliver High Quality (AAC)
music.
EarthCam Inc.
EarthCam and PacketVideo Network Solutions, Inc. continue
their partnership to bring compelling livecam services
to mobile devices. EarthCam, the leader in live streaming
video webcam software and solutions, and PacketVideo Network Solutions, Inc. are "turning on" scenic
cameras with views of New York Times Square, London's
Big Ben, Paris' Eiffel Tower, etc. and providing those
services as packaged offerings to wireless operators
around the world.
Mobix
Interactive Mobix Interactive provides a premier video
service for mobile networks globally. Working across
2.5G, 3G and broadband networks, Mobix produces live
end-to-end video services. The service includes rights
cleared content, edited, voiced, encoded and delivered
directly by pvServer to the end-user.
Orange
Orange and PacketVideo Network Solutions, Inc. are currently
working with content companies, handset manufacturers
and application developers to deliver the best mobile
video experience to Orange customers. The scalable
PacketVideo Network Solution powered Orange Video
Platform will allow a seamless transition for Orange
customers migrating from the 2.5G to the 3G network.
Siemens
At CTIA Siemens is demonstrating the extensive capability
of their SIP-IMS products by streaming high fidelity
movie trailers using PacketVideo Network Solutions, Inc.'
pvServer. Siemens has integrated pvServer for commercial
use by operators such as T-Mobile, Westel and ONE.
StreamezzoCome
see the Streamezzo designed application which includes
a client (browser) and a service node which integrates
the pvServer providing operators, media companies
a Rich Media Production tool. This user-friendly application
can be deployed over the air is used to integrate
video into other applications providing the richest
mobile media end user experience possible.
Tele
Atlas Tele Atlas and PacketVideo Network Solutions, Inc.
are working together to expand the nature of wireless
content services. By combining PacketVideo Network Solutions, Inc.' wireless real-time video streaming technology
with Tele Atlas' premier traffic video and map data,
the two companies are working to build compelling
new services for the wireless consumer.
VRTV
VRTVStudios, leader in avatar dynamic generation,
is providing an exciting new way to communicate. By
sending a simple SMS/Email to a recipient, VRTV Messaging
Platform automatically creates a video animated avatar
that is streamed by pvServer to the targets video-enabled
mobile phone.
Wonderphone
Wonderphone, leader in the mobile rights field, is
collaborating with PacketVideo Network Solutions, Inc. to
enable CTIA visitors to use FrameTrack streaming and
FastTrack download for the best user experience when
accessing video content from Wonderphone's awesome
1 million item mobilemedia vault.
